Once again, we have tried to shout about all the exciting things going on for the games we help with! Itās a really good time to be an indie game fan because look at all the cool things that are out there:
Sleigh King! Cool Sledding Game demo slides its way to Steam.
Indie dev Max from the Sledding Corporation just dropped the first demo for the super chill and super fun Sledding Game!
Did you ever play the Club Penguin Sled Racing minigame and think āmanā¦ I really wish this was a full game with proximity chat and the ability to crash into my fellow friends to experience funny rag doll physics along with other cool mechanics?ā Well, now you can! And this time you arenāt limited to just being a penguin! What a joyous time to be alive.
You should check it out! Go sledding, hang out with friends, make the biggest snowball possible, and roast some smores by the fire. Oh. And watch out for the yetiā¦
Beyond the cursed Halls (of Torment) lies the BOGLANDS!
The critically acclaimed hoard survival game, Halls of Torment by Chasing Carrots, has some big news! The team have announced their first ever DLC called The Boglands and a separate huge free update! Now thereās more Traits, more Blessings, and more ways to die!
But thatās not all, the game is coming to Xbox and Playstation! Soon youāll be able to slay hordes of terrifying monsters and face the Lords of the underworld from the comfort of your sofa. Delicious.
Jump into an interactive anime adventure in Sushi Ben!
Big Brane Studios Inc. have launched their very cool charming game Sushi Ben on PC! Save a local sushi bar from dastardly big-city landsharks in this funny narrative adventure inspired by slice-of-life animes. Also the villain lady exclusively steps on men so what more could you really want?
First launched on VR in 2023, the PC version is playable in non-VR and VR mode. As well as flatscreen (non-VR) play, the PC version of Sushi Ben adds 4+ new hours of minigames and a star-studded english voice cast including Laura Post (Little Witch Academia) Ryan Colt Levy (Chainsaw Man), AJ Beckles (Dandadan) and many more! Woah!
VR Foreveeeer (sung to the tune of Viva Forever by the Spice Girls)
VR studio and publishing label Creature (Maestro, The Light Brigade, THRASHER, Starship Home), and PR & Marketing agency Future Friends Games (oh hey, thatās us!) revealed the winners of the inaugural VR Forever Awards this month!
They also launched the accompanying Steam festival, a brand new partnership focused on improving the curation of VR titles on Steam. Itās over now (boo!) BUT you can still check out the Steam page and see all the very sick featured games (yay!).
Plan, Aim, and Shoot in FLICK SHOT ROGUES!
Indie studio Butter by the Fish and publisher Noodlecake (Winter Burrow, Super Stickman Golf) have launched their tactical roguelike FLICK SHOT ROGUES for PC via Steam!
The game is kinda like pool/billiards if each ball was a tiny pirate and the table was actually a battlefield with guns and explosivesā¦ In other words, itās an immensely satisfying turn-based roguelike where you flick your hero across the map to unleash crazy combos!
If you are a fan of games like Peglin or Dungeon Clawler, we highly recommend you check out the Launch Trailer and prepare yourselves to be charmed!
Out of this world Mars First Logistics launches into 1.0!
The popular open-world, physics-based rover-building sim Mars First Logistics left Steam Early Access and launched with a massive 1.0 update!
Build physically simulated rovers to transport awkwardly shaped cargo across the rugged terrain of Mars. Developed by Shape Shop with support from Outersloth, the launch update comes with new languages, automation systems, new parts, and new contracts in a new area! Amongst other things!
Tiny, dreamy worlds await you in the Dream Garden demo!
The lovely indie duo from Campfire Studio (My Dream Setup) released their first Dream Garden demo on Steam! Curious? Have a gander at the Demo Trailer and let the relaxing vibes wash over you. The demo will give you a little slice of the game for you to build your own tranquil, dreamy gardens in. Very cute!
Dream Garden plans to release on PC via Steam later this year.
Spark a revolution in the Duskpunk demo!
Clockwork Bird, who you may know as the team behind the critically acclaimed Silicon Dreams, have announced their next game: gritty tabletop-inspired RPG Duskpunk!
Inspired by tabletop RPG games, Duskpunk throws you into a steampunk world where you make lasting choices to decide the fate of a city on the brink. As well as a very enticing Announcement Trailer, the team has also launched a free demo, available to play now on Steam (very cool!).
Duskpunk is slated to launch on PC via Steam later this year!
Get ready to search for Grandmaās lost soup ingredients in Sopa!
StudioBando announced the release date for their game Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato, available on 7th October on Steam, Xbox, and Game Pass!
Sopa is not only a tale about a stolen potato, but a tale about family, adventure, and the things we pass onto future generations. The game is inspired by Spirited Away, The Little Prince and Coco (i mean, what a combo!). Join Miho on his magical journey set in the mysterious depths of South America, meet a quirky cast of characters, and maybe find a potato.

Cubism is celebrating its 5th anniversary!
Since its original release on the first Meta Quest back in 2020, Cubism has had a glow up over the years with added hand tracking support, new puzzles, passthrough support, and a local puzzle editor. Very nice! Donāt believe me? Check out the Mixed Reality Trailer and marvel at how lovely a puzzle game can be.
While dev Thomas Van Bouwel has spent the past couple of years focused on developing his cool next game, Laser Dance (coming to Early Access later this fall), he still wanted to mark the occasion with a small quality-of-life update on Meta Quest. Happy 5th year of existence Cubism!

Crude Oil, the slippery brain child of solo developer Peter Nichols aka elfās end interactive, has launched a demo on Steam for their platforming adventure game!
Whatās this game about? Well POV: You are a blob of oil and you have to escape from the oil industry. Want to learn more? Check out this slick Gameplay Trailer. Itās a fairly short experience but itās very atmospheric, a little bit funny, and obviously quite oily.
Take control of your very own classically hand-animated adventure story!
Sunsgrove Studios have released a free demo for their upcoming project War of the Western Deep, an animated adventure set in the fantasy world of beloved webtoon Beyond the Western Deep.
In this very charming game, you are a royal courier stranded in foreign territory on the brink of war. Immerse yourself in a lush, hand-made world as you explore an innovative mix of exploration and cinematic combat.
War of the Western Deep is slated to arrive on PC via Steam in late 2027.
Get Rich or Die Stitchinā in this new Prison Boss DLC!
TREBUCHET released the Stitchin Rich DLC for Prison Boss Prohibition, the sequel to the cult hit Prison Boss VR. The DLC is out now on Quest and SteamVR.
Stitchin Rich introduces a brand new district, The Public Place, owned by the Mayor of New Yolk City. Itās a cheerful square thatās ripe for illicit activities (wink wink nudge nudge). Check out the DLC Launch Trailer to learn all about the new district and all the shenanigans that come with this totally legitimate tailoring shop.
Award winning game thrashes its way to Steam!
As part of the VR Forever Steam Event, Puddle (Brian Gibson, composer and artist for THUMPER, and Mike Mandel, Rock Band VR) released the first Steam demo of their game THRASHER!
The game was previously only available for Meta Quest & Apple Vision Pro and was so sick that it won numerous industry awards! The Steam version, full of cosmic baby gods and mysterious monoliths, is playable for the first time in this new demo in non-VR (flatscreen) and optimised for PC, SteamDeck and SteamVR. Check out the Announcement Trailer for all your space riding eel needs.
THRASHER (Steam version) is planned to launch later in the year. The demo will remain online until the end of Steam Next Fest coming up next month so donāt miss out!
