This month’s edition is a rollercoaster ride as we tell you all about our jumpscare that happened last week, updates to your favourite FFG’s games, and a new member of the team who we can’t wait to introduce you to! So buckle up and let’s get into it.
🎰🎰🎰 CloverPit VS Silksong 🗡️🗡️🗡️
Do you guys know that feeling when the most wishlisted game on Steam that has been in hibernation for the last 7 years suddenly comes out of the woodwork with arguably the biggest release date reveal of the year? Oh and you know when that release date is ONE DAY after your own cool indie game that you are super excited about?! Well, we do.
Team Cherry announced they were launching Silksong the day after our demonic slot-machine roguelike CloverPit… What are the chances! As the Panik Arcade devs themselves succinctly said:
“We like a gamble, but this one is too risky lol. We want to give ourselves and our fans some time to enjoy Silksong, so we’re launching a few weeks later and will use the time to polish CloverPit even further”.
So, pop the NEW date in your calendars folks, CloverPit will be yours on the 26th of September!! So you can enjoy Silksong (as we will be hehe) and then join us in the pit a few weeks later 🍋🍒💎🍀🔔
Future Friends Roundup!
🚂 Do you like making choo choos go bang bang? Well this brand new Islands & Trains update is for you!
You can now play with up to 10 trains, make complex railroads with even more track pieces than before and perhaps more excitingly, make them crash into each other💥
🐠 Shrimp enjoyers rejoice! Tiny Aquarium have released a new update called ‘Shimplosion’ which features the tiniest crustacean band alive!
Collect all members of the band and hear their hit songs Shrimpy The Best & Gills Just Wanna Have Fun 🎸
This update also comes with new fish and shellfish species, tank decorations, and much more!!!

Future Friends Games are good at many things (this newsletter being the main one obviously) but we are going to be very real and very vulnerable with you… organisation is not our strong suit 😬 Luckily for us, it is Emma’s!!!

Can recite most Spongebob episodes by heart
As a result of the above, they will reference Spongebob at least once per day
Has multiple databases to track and rate everything they’ve ever watched, listened to, or read.
Team Lore
The grown ups travelled over to cologne for Gamescom this month and survived! Here are some highlights from their trip:
🎨 Someone drew Paul's portrait and captured his essence perfectly
🏃♂️ Alex became a Sonic champion while Paul found his true calling as a bouncer…
💖 Kris absolutely SMASHED his devcom panel and we are very proud!
👨🦲 And Thomas found his twin!
Overall a lovely time was had and most importantly, the boys were together 💖
But what did the rest of the team get up to? Great question!
🐢 Louisa dropped some new lore that I guess she runs a pet hotel? maybe? Who knows. We all enjoyed this information that came with no further elaboration.
🦴 Laura C fell down the stairs and lived to tell the tale. Shockingly.
🙏 Grace enlightened us on Kirby etymology, changing us for the better, before braving a huge festival where she also had a life-changing religious experience (she saw Chappell Roan)
📱Robyn decided to guess who out of the gang had an Android or an iPhone based off of their vibes… and she guessed 100% correctly (maybe… not everyone replied so she’s just gonna assume she was right)! What do you guys think?

Winter Burrow, the cutest survival game featuring a mouse, was featured in the Nintendo Indie World this month! Developer Pine Creek Games and publisher Noodlecake released a new trailer and announced that their wholesome woodland game is coming this Winter to Nintendo Switch, Game Pass, Xbox and Steam!
